The Conception
Calling 1000 Women To Prayer, is called to raise up a nation of worshipers and prophetic intercessors.  The ministry was conceived in the heart of Minister Carmen Gray in the early part of 2002 while co-pastoring with her husband in Stockbridge, GA.

“When God releases an assignment it is always bigger than your capability to carry it out.  Calling 1000 Women To Prayer seemed a daunting task at that time.  I did not realize that this ministry would soon cross international borders and be shared with other worshipers and prophetic intercessors in other countries.

The journey begin in the early part of 2002.  Carmen and a team of women met for prayer with clear instructions from the Holy Spirit to pray until there was breakthrough.   After praying intensely for an indefinite period of time, God showed Carmen a vision that would forever change the expectations of her heart and ministry.

The Birth
“There is a place in prayer that literally feels like travail.  The intensity of that place is so engaging that it requires a P.U.S.H. – Pray Until Something Happens.  It is in this realm that birth happens.  As we were engaged in prayer, I saw in a vision an alter upon which an animal carcass was laid and tied down.  However, as I watched this carcass, it became evident that it was not dead because it began to buck and kick.  “Oh no”, I thought, “what is it going to take for this flesh to die?  As we continued to pray, way deep in the reservoir of my soul I began to cry out FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!  We were standing in the inner court in front of the veil leading into the Holies of Holies, and as I began to cry “FIRE”, two angels came quickly.  One had an old fashioned lighter and the other held a huge fan.  The angel with the igniter pumped it swiftly, causing enough fire to be released to light the kindling.

It appeared as though the fire would go out just as quickly as it had been ignited.   The other angel immediately held up a large fan in his hand and began to fan the flames with wide sweeping motions, causing the embers to spread across the kindling, creating a roaring fire that spread across the pit of the alter.  Unanimously there was a transformation among the women gathered together in prayer.  No more bucking, all flesh was consumed under the mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. 

We wept and lifted our voices in total abandonment, stepping into a new level of prayer and worship.  I continued to watch the vision unfold as the edge of the veiled curtain lifted and we went behind the veil looking in awe at our surroundings.  We were there, wow, what a pivotal moment.  The only word I can use to describe that moment is "HOLY".  Suddenly the curtain dropped behind us, and I saw as though a power point presentation was being shown, letters fall in bouncing sequence forming the words:
