Raised in the home of an evangelist, Carmen Gray began traveling early in life with her family on the evangelistic field. Working behind the scenes with her father’s teaching ministry on the Tabernacle, Carmen learned through “hands-on” experience that the call to ministry comes with a great price.
Married in 1996 to International Speaker and Evangelist, Curtis B. Gray, she would once again repeat the pattern of her childhood. She traveled extensively as the wife of an evangelist for the first five years of her marriage, until the birth of their two children, Destiny Amaris and Curtis Israel. During these years, she and her husband ministered together in praise and worship in many churches throughout the United States. Carmen flows in worship as a psalmist and many have been delivered as she ministers to the Lord.
In October 2000, she and her husband obeyed God and answered the call to pastor a temporary church in Stockbridge, Georgia. Thus Covenant Life Word Ministries was birthed with a heart to take the people of God from “religion to relationship”. It was during this time that she would be licensed as a minister and God would use the church as a platform to develop and cultivate the teaching/preaching ministry on her life. Later, she and her husband would once again begin to evangelize full-time throughout the United States and abroad.
As an offspring of CLWM, “Calling 1000 Women To Prayer Ministries” was founded by the Holy Spirit in the heart of Minister Carmen Gray and established in June 2002. Calling 1000 Women To Prayer Ministries has been called to a nation of worshipers and prophetic intercessors who has a desire for true revival and the glory of God to be revealed in the earth, in the body of Christ and in their lives.
In April 2004, Carmen was prophetically encouraged to “enlarge her borders”, that the ministry on her life would be international. In August 2005, God allowed her to see the first fruits of this prophetic word as she ministered to thousands in Zimbabwe, Africa. In addition to the exposure of the ministry overseas, God has enlarged the ministry via the internet which reflects progressive steps of increase as commanded in the book of Acts 1:8…”ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem (local) and Judea (regional) and in Samaria (national) and unto the uttermost part of the earth (global).
